Prof. Dr. Launer has been travelling to foreign universities for over four years. Further down on this page you can find the reports on the research semester, the contact trip to Latin America and Asia as well as the International Service Management Congresses with foreign guest professors in Suderburg. With his systematic approach, he was able to establish numerous contacts in his research areas: e-learning, digital trust and intuition. Before becoming a professor, he lived in the USA for a total of nine years and visited Africa, too.

Based on his previous research projects “Digital Trust & Teamwork” and “Intuitive Decisions” the international follow-up studies are to be implemented. Numerous foreign university professors from Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America would like to participate in his study “Digital Trust at the Workplace”. In order to present his follow-up projects and to establish further valuable contacts, Prof. Dr. Launer visited universities in Thailand, Korea and the Philippines as well as two international research conferences in the Philippines and France during the summer break of 2019. As a member of Ostfalia’s ethics committee, at the moment he is in intensive exchange about data protection in international research projects.

Universities from Russia, Estonia, Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, the Philippines, Thailand, Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Chile have already agreed to participate in the research project “Digital Trust at the Workplace”. Recently, universities from Sweden, Finland and countries from Africa also agreed to join.

Research Process – Present State

The following specific academic activities were implemented in the research projects “E-Learning”, “Digital Trust” and “Intuition”:

  • E-Learning: ongoing research on didactics and technical implementation of e-learning. The studies should be completed and published by September 2019.
  • Digital Trust: The EFRE research project is to be internationalised at the beginning of 2020 (follow-up study). Preliminary talks were held with faculties of Business Administration and Computer Science.
  • Intuition (RHIA): The EFRE research project is to be internationalised at the end of 2019. It is planned to develop an international questionnaire for this purpose. To this end, contacts have been established with the faculties of Sociology and Psychology.

Future Research Projects

New research proposals were discussed on the subject of “E-Health at Home and at Work”. Prof. Dr. Launer would like to organise these projects internationally from the very beginning. Further trips and a visit to the Suderburg campus by an international delegation from China are planned.
