3rd International Conference on Sustainable Globalization (ICSG) in Kochi, India successfully ended (January 9-11, 2020)

 The ICSG conference was held in 2018 together with colleagues from the partner university University of Wisconsin at Parkside, USA (Prof. Dr. Abey Kuruvilla), Mahatma Gandhi University, India (Prof. Dr. Robinet Jacob) and Ostfalia University (Dr. Hedda Sander) launched for the first time. The meeting will be organized by the International Association for Sustainable Globalization, founded in 2018, the founding member of which is Ostfalia through board member Dr. Sander has been organized annually since then. Sessions on higher education, IT, tourism and economic issues as well as risk management are offered under the theme of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). In a multidisciplinary approach, which is the special feature of the conference, these are open to representatives from science and research, business, politics and administration. The 2020 ACEEU Asia-Pacific Triple E University Awards for Entrepreneurship and Engagement in Higher Education were also awarded at the third conference.

Our Dean of Studies, Dr. Sander is a member of the Organizing Committee of the ISCG and also Chair of Review Committee of the ICSG, so that she moderated some of the conference meetings on the topic of "Sustainability" again this year. In addition, the Faculty of Supply Engineering gave a lecture on “HAB and Lake Management under Climate Change Conditions in an Applied Study on Lake Utah Data Sets and HAB Prediction; by Sander, H., Skalbeck, J., and Kügow, F. ” for the annual conference volume. The program of the Faculty of Supply Engineering was also presented to students interested in exchange and informed about the completely English-language master's degree course "Risk Management and Sustainability" of the center of scientific, interdisciplinary risk and sustainability management (ZWIRN) at Ostfalia University.

In the end, Dr. Sander is very satisfied: “The third conference is over and has shown many innovative ideas again. We are already looking forward to the next conference in 2021. "
