"I am thrilled and gratefully accept the scholarship!"
Leonard Henkel (Faculty of Computer Science), along with Bennet Bogdanowicz (Faculty of Law),
is excited to spend the winter semester 23/24 as an InterAct! scholar at the University of
Wisconsin-Parkside, USA.
In addition to these scholarships for the USA, the International Relations Office, in
collaboration with some of the faculties, has awarded scholarships to five other outstanding
students for study stays in Finland, Portugal, and South Africa: Tom Mülmenstädt (Faculty of
Electrical Engineering) and Fabian Grabow (Faculty of Supply Engineering) have been nominated for a
stay at the partner university TAMK, Tampere, Finland, where they will experience the Finnish
frost. On the other hand, Annika Hassemer and Marcel Scholz (Faculty of Business) will spend the
winter semester at the partner institution Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal in Portugal.
Ann-Sophie Schaile (Faculty of Transport-Sports-Tourism-Media) is looking forward to new
impressions and experiences during her stay at the partner university Nelson Mandela University,
Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
As an international InterAct! scholar, Luis Reisinho Barros (IPS Setúbal) is spending the
current summer semester at the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering in Suderburg.
In the second funding year of the "InterAct! - International Activities" project, these
mobility scholarships, among other measures, contribute to the promotion of international exchange
of students, lecturers, and researchers.
"
These personal exchanges enhance awareness of international challenges and promote
intercultural competencies and collaborations. Our students qualify themselves for the increasingly
international job market," reports Kai Hillebrecht, who leads the "InterAct!" project.
