Library Catalogue

Use the Ostfalia library catalogue to search for books, DVDs, journals.

Books from other Ostfalia library locations can be sent to your library free of charge. You can request books from other locations by email, telephone or in person at the library helpdesk. Once the items have arrived you will be notified by email.

If a book is on loan to another user, or if a book is a new item not yet available on the shelves it is possible to place a request for it so it is reserved for you when it becomes available. If an item is on loan, please use the button "Vormerken" to request it.

Databases and E-Journals

Find Databases on the DBIS website.

Find E-Journals on the EZB website.

In both databases you can search for a database or journal by name or subject.

Fachinformation - Subject Information

Lists of important databases, E-journals and E-books, as well as important websites or relevant scientific societies/associations for each faculty are available in German under " Fachinformation".

Inter-Library Loans

Items not held by the library may be requested through the inter-library loans service. A good place to search for books not available at the Ostfalia ist the GVK-catalogue. Contact us in person or by email and let us know wich items you need. We will let you know by email when your request is ready to collect from the issue desk. You will be charged 1,50 € for each request.

Suggestions for Purchase

We welcome suggestions for the addition of new books and other items for the library. Send us an email or use the online form (available in German only).
