Sampling devices
As part of the SCREENING research project, five Nemo 1 M PP devices from ORI were purchased for sampling in the city of Hildesheim. Due to the ATEX certification, sampling within the sewer network is possible. The samples are distributed across 12 individual bottles, which allows the temporal variance of municipal wastewater to be determined in addition to the detection of pathogens. The sampling devices are now being used in the city of Celle in the PRIUS project for sampling heavy rainfall events and in the "Kanaldetektive" project for detecting multi-resistant germs in wastewater.

In addition to the mobile automatic samplers, scoops are also used for sampling in order to take qualified random samples. Another approach being pursued in the "Kanaldetektive" research project is the development and use of passive samplers. The sediment from the wastewater is to be collected and later analyzed in the microbiology laboratory.
