Bachelor Degree Program Electrical Engineering and Information Technology – Dual Programme (EITiP)

With us you have the possibility to complete the Electrical Engineering and Information Technology also as a cooperative degree program. The degree course “Electrical Engineering and Information Technology with Practical Experience” is offered in cooperation with industrial companies from the region. The two practice phases, that regularly take place in the third and sixth semester, are an integral part of the degree course.

In the first option (career-integrated dual course of study) students complete an additional industrial apprenticeship with a  cooperating company and acquire an industrial trade. The final for the industrial trade is

In the Second option (practice-integrated dual course of study) students complete extensive practice phases with cooperating companies. There is no obligation to attend a vocational school and also no qualification as a skilled tradesman. A practical semester can also be replaced with shared practice phases, with a total length of eighteen weeks in a cooperating company.

Advantages of a dual course of study

  • Paid Internships
  • Good career opportunities: Job offer from the company at degree completion possible
  • Two qualifications within a short time (With the choice of career-integrated dual course of study)

Study disciplines of these dual courses of study are also the fields

  • Automation
  • Electric Mobility and Energy Systems
  • Information Technology

The study discipline Automation covers the key fields of Control Systems and Automation Engineering, and is centered around process and factory automation. The study discipline Electric Mobility and Energy Systems conveys professional knowledge concerning both conventional and renewable methods of power production and makes students familiar with intelligent systems of energy distribution and use. The study discipline Information Technology analyses all fundamental topics of telecommunications like the conditioning, processing and analysis of information and its descriptive signal.
