SPOvid - Sports development through crisis

Attention, we got NEWs!
For years we, the sports management students at the Ostfalia University, went on an International Excursion and travelled to another country to explore the sports industry on site.
This year everything is different!

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we had to get creative to make the International Excursion happen despite the new obstacles. We see this as an opportunity to invite different countries to join us in a virtual space. This will give not only us, but also other interested audiences the chance to discover individual sports areas of these nations!

Due to the extent of the pandemic, the topic for this year's international excursion was chosen quickly. The international speakers will talk about the extent to which Covid has influenced and possibly permanently changed their sports industry. Hence the title SPOvid - sports development through crisis.

How will the event be implemented?
From October to November, every Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m., a different country will find its way to us in an online space. Free of charge and without much effort, everyone will have the opportunity to be inspired and to get to know the diversity of sports around the world and of course our great study program!
Both the speakers and we students are looking forward to questions and suggestions around the topic of sports.

We are already very excited and can't wait to be infected with sports over the course of the next few weeks!

   

Aufgepasst, es gibt NEUigkeiten! 

Jahrelang war es so, dass wir als Sportmanagement-Studierende der Ostfalia unsere Internationale Exkursion für einen Besuch in ein anderes Land genutzt haben, um vor Ort die Sportbranche zu erkunden. 

Dieses Jahr ist alles anders! 

Durch die Corona-Pandemie mussten wir kreativ werden, um die Internationale Exkursion trotz der neuen Hürden durchzuführen. Dies sehen wir als Möglichkeit, verschiedene Länder zu uns über einen virtuellen Weg einzuladen.

Dadurch bekommen nicht nur wir, sondern auch weitere interessierte Zuhörer die Chance, einzelne Sportbereiche dieser Nationen mitzuentdecken!

Durch das Ausmaß der Pandemie hat sich innerhalb kurzer Zeit das Thema für die diesjährige Internationale Exkursion ergeben. Die internationalen Referierenden werden darüber berichten, inwiefern Covid ihre Sportbranche beeinflusst und ggf. nachhaltig verändert hat. Daher auch der Titel   SPOvid - sports development through crisis.

Wie wird die Veranstaltung umgesetzt?

Von Oktober bis November findet jeden Mittwoch von 15 bis 19 Uhr ein anderes Land seinen Weg zu uns in einen Online-Raum. Kostenlos und ohne großen Aufwand bekommt jede*r die Möglichkeit, sich inspirieren zu lassen und die Vielfältigkeit des Sports rund um die Welt und natürlich auch unseren großartigen Studiengang kennenzulernen!

Sowohl die Referierenden als auch wir Studierende freuen uns über Fragen und Anregungen rund um das Thema Sport.

 

Wir sind schon sehr aufgeregt und können es kaum erwarten, im Laufe der nächsten Wochen mit Sport infiziert zu werden!
